The InnoVision Awards program, led by its Advisory Board, has been an early innovator in the South Carolina Upstate's drive to become a leader in the state's new economy. InnoVision is the premier awards program focused exclusively on celebrating achievements in innovation and technological excellence in the South Carolina Upstate region. The following 10 counties are in the South Carolina Upstate region: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, and Union.
Innovision objectives:
- Honor and highlight organizations and individuals that develop or apply technological innovation
- Advance technical collaboration and innovation among organizations and individuals
- Honor and encourage participants and programs that engage youth in the areas of science, math, and technological innovation
The InnoVision Technology Awards have become the mark of distinction for outstanding leadership, innovation and technological excellence in the Upstate community. Awards are made in six categories:
- Technology Development
- Technology Application
- Sustainability Award
- Small Enterprise
- Innovation in Education
- Community Service
- Charles Townes Individual Achievement Award
The InnoVision awards experience provides an opportunity for high visibility and exposure amid the Upstate business community Finalists are celebrated at a Finalists Reception in September and are featured in videos at the November InnoVision Technology Awards Dinner, where winners are announced.
The InnoVision Technology Forum Series offers an avenue for keeping abreast of leading-edge technology advances in the Upstate. Past InnoVision Award finalists and winners, as well as other leaders in innovation and technology, make presentations and lead discussions about cogent topics.
